Path 2 Potential () is now hiring Behavior Technicians to join our growing ABA therapy team across New York City, Long Island, and Port St. Lucie, Florida (and surrounding areas).

We’re looking for students studying Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Special Education, Education, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or related fields who are excited to work hands-on with children with autism and developmental disabilities.

Pay:

$22 – $32/hour

(Pay rate based on education, experience, and credentials)

Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in or graduated from a college program related to ABA, education, psychology, nursing, or similar
• Experience working with children (including babysitting, tutoring, camp, classroom, etc.)
• A genuine desire to help and connect with individuals with disabilities
• Experience with autism is a plus – but not required. We provide full training.

Position Requirements:
• Implement ABA therapy programs and behavior management techniques as directed in the client’s treatment and behavior plan.
• Demonstrate adequate knowledge and understanding of basic ABA principles and guidelines.
• Complete data collection for each client as directed and communicate notable findings from sessions to client's behavior analysis applications and forms.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working with a variety of clients with different needs and abilities.
• Communicate effectively with a variety of staff members including ABA therapists, BCBA, Clinic Director, and administrative staff.
• Work collaboratively with each client's team; effectively request and communicate any areas needing clarification.
• Maintain strict parent/child confidentiality policies set forth by Children’s Autism Center; comply with and understand H.I.P.A.A Regulations.
• Maintain professional relationship with client’s parents/caregivers.
• Ability to work in an active job that may require periodic lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ensure a positive, safe learning environment for each client (laughing, playing, and smiling required!)

Qualifications and Skills
• Experience: 1 year working ABA therapy with children with disabilities either in school or a home setting.
• Education: High school diploma (Required) or G.E.D
• R.B.T Preferred (6 months given to obtain if hired).
• Transportation: Reliable vehicle (valid drivers licence required) or be able to travel throughout Long Island
• Great writing and verbal communication.
• Willing to have a background check (required).
• Hours - Monday through Thursday 5pm -7:30pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Ability to Commute:
• Brooklyn, NY 11226 (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:
• Brooklyn, NY 11226: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:
• 25% (Preferred)
