Job Description
cal Documentation Integrity (CDI). This position ensures that the Epic HIM module functions as intended and meets operational, regulatory, and compliance requirements. The Senior Analyst provides advanced analysis, workflow design, system configuration, troubleshooting, project leadership, and serves as Tier 2/3 support for HIM-related applications. Responsibilities include participating in Epic upgrades, leading testing cycles, developing documentation, and optimizing HIM workflows to enhance accuracy, productivity, and data integrity.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Acts as the primary Epic HIM subject matter expert for Coding, ROI, Identity, Deficiency Tracking, and CDI operations.
• Identifies system issues proactively and ensures they are addressed before they affect business operations.
• Understands deep interdependencies between HIM workflows and downstream applications.
• Designs, builds, configures, and maintains Epic modules including Coding, ROI, Identity, Deficiency Tracking, and CDI tools.
• Translates regulatory changes into updated Epic configuration.
• Identifies and resolves workflow challenges in all HIM domains.
• Provides advanced troubleshooting for Epic HIM applications.
• Leads Epic HIM-related projects including new feature rollouts and workflow redesign.
• Develops test scripts and validates HIM functionality during Epic upgrades.
• Participates in the IS PMO and adheres to organizational project management methodologies.
• Completes required training and maintains Epic Certifications.Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment of HIM workflows, system functionality, and operational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience Epic HIM support is required.
• Must have Epic HIM Module Certification or able to obtain within 12 months of employment.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communications skills. Strong customer service skills.
• Strong understanding of ICD‑10, CPT/HCPCS, DRG/APC logic, CMS regulations, and documentation standards.
