Job Description and Responsibilities

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) serving a school located in Central Falls, RI.

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will be responsible for providing behavioral interventions services to students in a school based setting, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.

Job Details
• Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
• March - May (25/26) School Year, 8-12 weeks
• On-site, in-person

Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
• Deliver instruction tailored to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students.
• Collaborate with parents, educators, and specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to student learning and support.
• Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to improve outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress to inform ongoing instruction and planning.
• Create a welcoming, safe, and productive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and learning.
• Provide guidance and support to classroom staff in implementing educational strategies for students with special needs.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred)
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
• Completion of 40-hour RBT training program
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Experience working with children or individuals with autism or behavioral needs preferred
• 1+ years of experience in a school setting preferred
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology
• Fingerprint background clearance
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical Requirements

Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
