Position Summary:
Under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Autism provides direct implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) goals for individuals with disabilities, primarily autism. Ensures supports provided meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements and accreditation standards.
Essential Functions:
• Provides ABA therapy through reviewing individuals' goals with BCBA and implementing individualized supports to achieve goals.
• Communicates with team members regarding supports provided and regularly updates BCBA on individuals' progress towards goals.
• Completes documentation and ensures compliance with organizational, funder and accreditation requirements.
• May provide additional supports as needed, including respite and social skills group sessions.
Position Competencies:
• Knowledge of disabilities, including autism and strategies to support individuals.
• Able to implement ABA goals and follow through with appropriate supports.
• Strong communication skills to be able to foster positive professional relationships with individuals, families and team members.
• Basic computer skills for utilizing a variety of computer systems.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active RBT certification or willingness to complete the certification process.
• Annual RBT certification renewal is required.
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism, and their families preferred.
