Job Overview

We are seeking a Regional Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our award-winning Special Education team. The BCBA will operate within the Special Education Programs for Grades K‑12, primarily in the Northern/ Central California region, including San Jose and Pacifica. The role is focused on transforming student lives through evidence-based interventions and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive training and continuous guidance to teachers and staff in designing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of academic instruction and behavioral support services provided to students.
• Model, reinforce, and enhance instructional best practices to promote student growth aligned with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to promote positive outcomes in academic, social, emotional, and independent functioning.
• Provide crisis management intervention and support for students exhibiting aggressive or self‑injurious behavior.
• Collaborate closely with on‑site education teams to collect and analyze data on student behavior, monitor progress, and ensure appropriate intervention responsiveness.
• Conduct regular quality checks for each campus within the assigned region and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
• Support the development of on‑site teams through training on behavioral assessment, intervention, positive behavior supports, data collection, crisis management, and other relevant topics.
• Provide guidance and supervision to staff members pursuing BACB certification (RBT, BCaBA, BCBA).
• Assist in the development and implementation of improvement plans for assigned campuses.
• Engage in multidisciplinary on‑site and regional team meetings to discuss behavioral needs and contribute to support strategies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, progress, and compliance activities.
• Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned to support organizational goals and student success.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, behavioral therapy, special education, or a closely related field.
• Licensed BCBA credential or in the process of obtaining it.
• Preferred:
Education specialist or special education instruction credential.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain certification in company‑approved crisis management training.
• Prior experience in providing behavioral support, preferably in an alternative, special education, or behavioral health program setting.
• Proficiency in ABA, PBIS, data‑based decision making, FBA, and BIP development.
• Experience working with students with learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and related disabilities.
• Strong crisis management skills and ability to act quickly and calmly in emergencies.
• Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and database entry.
