Duties
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
• Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions to ensure effective treatment adjustments
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care skills
• Use positive reinforcement strategies to encourage desired behaviors and manage challenging behaviors through effective behavior management techniques
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians and team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each client’s needs
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
• Support clients during therapy sessions, providing patient care with patience, empathy, and professionalism
Requirements
• Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe
• Experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection methods
• Ability to assist with ADLs and implement teaching strategies aligned with special education principles
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus
• Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Patience, compassion, and a proactive attitude toward patient care and behavioral health support
