Job Description:
• Designs and maintains structure; recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
• Acts as liaison to ensure positive relations and teamwork.
• Independently identifies, plans, and executes organizational goals.
• Manages multimillion-dollar laboratory operations and billable tests.
• Directs all campuses and AIC labs, including LIS, POCT, QA/PI, Safety, and Education.
• Ensures adherence to laws, accreditation standards, and corporate compliance plans.
• Oversees CAP, AABB, DNV, and other accreditation requirements.
• Prepares and executes operating budgets for staffing, equipment, and supplies.
• Directs vendor, supplier, pathologist, and consultant agreements.
• Influences vendor selection and standardization at AHS corporate level.
• Drives lab business expansion and outpatient services development.
• Leads process improvement initiatives and action plans for patient care.
• Promotes team building, continuous learning, and a culture of safety.
• Supports community initiatives and ensure quality, compassionate patient care.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong organization skills. [Required]
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. [Required]
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms to all levels of staff. [Required]
• Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite. [Required]
• Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals. [Required]
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]
• Master's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• Bachelor's in Chemical, Physical, Chemical lab/Medical Technology
• Master's in Business Administration
Work Experience:
• 4+ years of Laboratory leadership, with oversight of a multi-hospital laboratory [Required]
• 6+ years of Laboratory experience [Required]
