Job Description

Step into a dynamic role supporting K-12 students as a school-based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) paraprofessional in the Boulder, CO area. This contract opportunity offers the chance to float across various schools, providing impactful behavioral support where it's needed most throughout the 2024-27 academic years.

Key Qualifications:
• Hold a current RBT certification or have successfully completed the RBT initial course.
• Alternatively, bring multiple years of hands-on experience working with students in classroom settings who have intensive behavioral needs.
• Proven ability to adapt to new classroom environments and connect with a diverse range of students and educators.
• Strong understanding of behavior intervention strategies within an educational setting.
• Commitment to supporting K-12 learners and fostering a positive school climate.
• Hold or eligible to attain appropriate state licensure.

Core Responsibilities:
• Support students across elementary, middle, and high school classrooms as an itinerant behavioral resource.
• Collaborate closely with school staff and special education teams to implement behavioral intervention plans.
• Employ evidence-based strategies to encourage positive student behaviors and de-escalate challenging situations.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support, collecting data and documenting progress consistently.
• Serve as a reliable resource for teachers and staff, offering insight on best practices for behavioral management.
• Move between school sites as needed, maintaining flexibility and organization.
