School-Based Registered Behavior Technician
Salary - $27-$32 per hour
Position Summary
A Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a school setting works one-on-one or with multiple students to help them manage their behavior and optimize their learning experience. They encourage positive behaviors, set appropriate boundaries, and observe, develop and report students' progress toward their IEP/504 plan goals.

Minimum Duties and Responsibilities
• Works with clients, consultants, staff, families, and community to implement Students behavior support plan
• Adheres to the RBT ethics requirements
• Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations which may include client physical aggression as directed in the Individualized Education Program
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner
• Observes records, and reports the condition and behavior of the clients, including maintaining daily records
• Becomes fluent in the understanding and application of each child’s IEP
• Renews credential as required by the BCBA guidelines on an annual basis
Qualifications:
• Successfully completed the requirements for RBT credential with active certificate
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children, preferably with special needs
• Proven ability to work within a team, leadership skills, and problem solving abilities
• Exhibits positive and proactive approaches to problem solving
Physical Requirements:
RBTs must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop and reach, as well as be able to effectively handle client physical behaviors to ensure overall safety of client and self.
