What Youll Do

In this role, youll lead a classroom focused on functional academics, communication, and independence. Youll guide students through a meaningful high school experience that includes on-campus learning, life skills development, and supported participation in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized lessons that focus on communication, numeracy, literacy, vocational readiness, and daily living skills
• Create engaging routines and classroom structures that promote confidence, independence, and peer connection
• Coordinate with speech therapists, OTs, clinicians, and behavior specialists to support student growth
• Work closely with families to align strategies and goals across school and home
• Contribute to a supportive team culture that values consistency, joy, and continuous improvement

What You Bring
• California Education Specialist Credential (Mild to Moderate Support Needs or similar), or eligibility for intern/in-process status
• Experience working with high school-aged students with autism and/or developmental disabilities
• A warm, consistent presence and the ability to create structured, affirming spaces
• Commitment to student-centered education, neurodiversity-affirming practices, and teamwork
