Job Description
n adult inpatient care and be proficient in Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS). This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment while delivering high-quality patient care.
Job Details:
• Shift: 8 Hour Days (8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Schedule: Includes weekend coverage as needed
• Work Setting: Acute Care / Inpatient Rehab
• EMR System: Epic
• Facility Type: Smoke-free facility
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and VFSS
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families on therapy plans and swallowing safety
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards
Requirements:
• Active Florida Speech Language Pathologist License (must be on profile at submission)
• Minimum 3 years of acute care / hospital experience
• Strong experience with MBSS / VFSS (Modified Barium Swallow Studies)
• Experience with adult inpatient population
• BLS Certification (required)
• Experience with Epic EMR (preferred/required)
