Job Description
ll know procedures to achieve a positive learning environment for students and create a favorable work environment for the Continuing Education department.
Education and Experience
High School or GED required with acceptable combinations of education and work experience. Completion of a postsecondary training program/certification in Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or related field with higher education level.
One to five years experience working in a healthcare setting such as: Hospital, Clinic, Long-term care facility
Knowledge Skills and Ability
• Ability to maintain an effective classroom learning atmosphere.
• Ability to work under precise and exacting conditions.
• Organize, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks with accuracy
• Ability to adapt to changing policies, procedures, and technologies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with the public, students, faculty and college personnel.
Essential Functions
• Demonstrated ability to teach subject matter through education, experience, and skills.
• Conduct classroom instruction at the highest possible level of efficiency and interest for students.
• Follow course syllabi and make updates as required; ensure that the general and specific objectives defined in the syllabus are accomplished.
• Meet all regularly scheduled classes on time and for the full class period
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress in compliance with college policies;
• Prepare and administer examinations that cover all materials taught and provide prompt feedback on exam results.
• Assist the Director or Associate Dean in recruiting activities.
• Other duties as assigned
