Responsibilities
• Conduct analytical analysis using equipment such as pH meter, Protein combustion, muffle furnace, titration, HPLC, GC, Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Rheometer, Tribology, and Particle Size Analyzer.
• Enter data into LIMS and/or electronic notebook and share data through hard copy, reports, or Excel spreadsheets.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and conduct annual revision of methods and work instructions.
• Order supplies and manage inventory.
• Manage the technical document filing process and organize SharePoint site.
• Ensure laboratory activities meet or exceed technical, safety, and efficiency goals.
• Prepare samples and conduct routine analytical analysis according to established procedures.
Essential Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field and 2 or more years of experience. Open to Masters or PhD in Chemistry; preferably Analytical Chemistry.
• Experience with chromatography, HPLC, GC, and mass spectrometry; prior chromatography experience.
• Experience with analytical method development and/or method validation.
• Good understanding of laboratory tests and equipment.
• Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
• Independent and self‑reliant with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in a chemical food laboratory or pharmaceutical laboratory is preferred.
• Customer focus with an understanding of customer needs.

Work Environment

The position is based in an Analytical Chemistry/Physical Characterization lab with work hours from 8:00 to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility in start and end times. You will collaborate with an exceptional team, focusing on clients, innovation, and professional growth.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hoffman Estates, IL.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 – $35.00/hr.
