Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical BCBA Resident who is actively pursuing their BCBA certification to join our amazing team in (Insert Location). This role supports the clinical needs of our clients in various settings, including clinic, home, and community environments. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator focused on clinical excellence and is expected to complete their certification requirements within one year.Responsibilities
• Support Clinical Programs: Assist Clinic Directors and BCBAs with the delivery of exceptional client services and individualized ABA therapy programs. Build and maintain rapport with clients and caregivers, remain up-to-date on programming goals, and implement appropriate changes under BCBA guidance.
• Implement Treatment Plans: Carry out individualized treatment plans for assigned clients through direct therapy, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based interventions. Maintain a caseload that meets clinic needs and program goals.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Conduct consistent program reviews to ensure clinical excellence. This includes analyzing progress in both skill acquisition and behavior reduction and implementing necessary adjustments to support clients’ success.
• Feedback and Supervision: Provide consistent formal and informal feedback to RBTs during assigned supervision activities to ensure high fidelity of services. Oversee initial and ongoing training for behavior technicians to promote high-quality care and treatment integrity.
• Parent Training: Facilitate parent/caregiver training, conduct behavioral assessments, develop behavior protocols, and monitor client progress, ensuring skills are generalized and maintained outside of therapy.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with other service providers, such as OT, PT, and SLP, to provide a continuum of care and ensure that all treatment aligns with the client’s needs. Serve as a liaison among clients, caregivers, and the BCBA team.
• Documentation: Complete timely and accurate progress reports, session notes, and clinical documentation to ensure consistency in care and meet billing and authorization requirements.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in supervision opportunities to review client progress, identify appropriate modifications, and engage in professional development activities to build skills and support the training of other team members.
Required Skills
• Master’s degree in psychology, applied behavior analysis, education, special education, or a related field (required).
• Actively pursuing Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certification, with at least 1500 completed fieldwork hours and a minimum score of 85% on the Apprentice Performance Evaluation Form (required).
• 2-5 years of experience working with individuals with special needs.
• Previous Behavior Technician or RBT experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to complete.
• Approved Crisis Prevention training or willingness to complete.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and work collaboratively in a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to regularly engage in various postures (e.g., sitting, standing, kneeling), lift or move up to 50 pounds on occasion, and travel to and from different service locations.
