Job Description

Practice Info
• Location: Peoria, AZ
• Reports to: VP of Research
• Interoffice travel will be required with use of company vehicle or mileage reimbursement
Responsibilities
• Perform patient evaluations, consults, and review of pretreatment for standard of care and clinical research patients.
• Educate patients on therapeutic options through available liver clinical trials onsite.
• Perform specialized procedure(s) and work with MD on patient diagnosis.
• Counsel patients and their families, and collaborate with physicians to provide appropriate direct care interventions within scope of practice.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and manage patient care.
• Oversee patient care in clinical trials and perform safety medical reviews.
• Work with research staff members to complete visits and submit accurate source documentation.
• Complete detailed review of documentation for studies, charting, and proper informed consents.
Compensation
• Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year; depending on experience

Requirements
• Currently licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Previous experience in clinical research with a high level of understanding of research processes and protocols.
• Previous experience in gastroenterology (GI) and/or hepatology.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive as well as practice's EMR system (eCW).
• At least one (1) year experience working in a clinic or hospital setting as an NP or PA.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with current RN and NP License or Graduate of a university program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education (ARCE) for the Physician Assistant with certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), license to practice in Arizona.
• Must maintain certifications as required by department or division.
• Completion of GCP and IATA trainings at hire.
• Must have valid documentation and authorization to work in the U.S.
