Job Description
t the Role:
We’re seeking a dedicated and proactive Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in a school-based setting, providing 1:1 support to students with autism. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference, confident in the moment, and committed to student safety and success.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism in a school environment
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA Respond quickly and effectively to behaviors such as elopement to ensure student safety Communicate clearly with school staff, caregivers, and the clinical team Track data and document student progress throughout the school day Promote independence and skill-building in social, academic, and daily living areas
Must-Haves:
• Paraprofessional license through ISBE (must be active before starting)
Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) required; we can provide RBT certification support for those new to the field. Experience working with children, preferably those with autism or in special education Confidence in decision-making and responding in high-stakes moments Punctuality and strong communication skills
Nice to Have:
School-based or classroom experience
Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies Calm under pressure and quick on your feet
