Job Description
Location: Must live within 15 minutes of ZIP 20878
Core Hours: Friday evenings 5-10pm and Sundays 12-5 pm.
Extra Hours: Some weeknight evenings/weekends available (optional)
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate aide for our adult non‐verbal son with autism. He communicates by typing and using modified sign language; we will teach you his communication system.
Requirements
• Within 15 minutes of Gaithersburg (20878)
• Fluent in English
• Valid driver’s license & reliable car
• Kind, patient, calm, and self‐motivated
• Open to learning his communication methods
• Experience with autism preferred but not required
• CPR/first aid up to date
• MANDT trained
Responsibilities
• Provide supervision and companionship
• Assist with simple daily routines
• Support walks, outings, and activities
• Learn his communication system (typing + modified sign language)
