Job Description

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and review patient medical histories.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (e.g., blood work, imaging, EKGs).
• Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment adherence, and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide follow-up care as appropriate, including telehealth check-ins and home visits.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices and participate in continuing education.
• Uphold compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and organizational standards.
• Education: Master’s degree or higher in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Michigan.
• Certification: Board certified (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient-centered approach.
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible per diem schedule
