Job Description
General Purpose
Full-Time
A Teacher, Autism Spectrum Disorders Program is responsible to the County Superintendent and works under the direct supervision of the designated manager(s). The Teacher, Autism Spectrum Disorders Program teaches individuals with autism spectrum disorders, providing a program and instruction to promote cognitive; academic; communication and language; behavioral and social; and physical development.
Requirements/Qualifications
-Required level of education in order to obtain the appropriate authorization from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for the position.
-Must possess an appropriate California teaching credential authorizing specialized services to students with autism.
-Must possess or be able to obtain English Language (EL) certification.
-Must possess or able to obtain No Child Left Behind (NCLB) certification.
If hired, must provide proof of a valid California Driver's License
Required Documents:
• Copy of Transcript (Proof of Bachelor's degree)
• Credential Copy (California Teaching Credential authorizing specialized services to students with autism.)
• English Learner Authorization (Proof of or have the ability to obtain English Learners Authorization)
• Letter of Introduction
• Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two Letters of Recommendation are required-each letter must be dated and have a signature)
• NCLB Compliance (Proof of or have the ability to to obtain No Child Left Behind (NCLB) certification.)
• Resume
