Job Description

• Support clinician and care management teams in assessing and maintaining chronic disease management.
• Prepare specimens for reference lab send-outs, including labeling, resulting, and billing information.
• Perform and document daily, weekly, and monthly quality control, including instrument maintenance.
• Conduct patient intake vitals including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
• Interview patients based on age appropriateness and/or specialty needs with accurate documentation.
• Update medical records to include chief complaint, current medications, allergies, vaccine history, and more.
• Obtain necessary medical records and diagnostic results for clinician review and treatment follow-up.
Essential Skills
• Medical assisting experience or MA Diploma/Certification required.
• Active BLS certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with electronic health records and appointment scheduling.
• Skills in insurance verification and triage.
• Ability to educate patients and manage front desk operations.
• RMA certification and bilingual abilities are advantageous.
Work Environment
This role involves patient-facing interactions within an indoor work setting. The job requires operating computers, exposure to hazards, and physical activities such as reaching, manual dexterity, lifting up to 10 lbs, and sitting, walking, squatting, kneeling, or bending. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (up to twice a month).
