Job Description
Step into an impactful contract position as a Registered Behavior Technician and help make a difference in the lives of students near South Portland, ME. This dynamic role supports educational teams by implementing behavioral interventions, fostering a positive learning environment, and collaborating with teachers and specialists to achieve student goals.
Desired Qualifications:
• Active RBT certification in good standing
• Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in a school or educational setting
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and staff
• Ability to follow and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
• Patience, empathy, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to maintain accurate records and data collection
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver one-on-one or small group ABA therapy to students as directed by supervising BCBAs
• Accurately collect and report data on student progress and behavior
• Support teachers and school teams by modeling and reinforcing positive behaviors
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training
• Adapt behavioral strategies to meet individual student needs
• Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
