K2 is seeking a Community Connector to support our clinic out of Daytona Beach, FL.
The Community Connector is a liaison between the community and K2. This person represents K2 values and culture, with the ability to exude K2 philosophy to community partners and strengthen relationships. A Community Connector should feel comfortable discussing medication, medical history, and studies with patients and caregivers.
Primary Responsibilities
• Building and maintaining relationships with community partners (i.e. attending luncheons, meetings, updating resources, managing physician partnerships, etc.)
• Ability to read and understand study protocols as well as attending investigator meetings, start-up meetings, and coordinating with principal investigator on study related matters
• Triage patients to determine eligibility for active and/or potential studies, this may include prescreening and conducting memory testing, chart review, discussions with physicians, and scheduling patients
• Facilitating educational seminars on topics of interests in various settings
• Educating patients and families regarding study participation
• Entering and tracking all data through database and all trackers, assuring all information is entered and up to date
• Providing metrics as requested
• Special projects as assigned, this may include data projects or special events and event planning
• Other tasks as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Dependable, responsible and punctual
• Professional demeanor, detail oriented, organized, and compassionate.
• Fully proficient in computer applications used in day-to-day functions.
• Ability to work under multiple deadlines, multitask, and adapt rapidly to changing priorities
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional and friendly phone manner
• Team player with a positive attitude
Qualifications
• Minimum associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in hospitality or public health, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be flexible with schedule
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
