The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals, particularly children, who are on the autism spectrum or have other behavioral health needs. This role involves implementing behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, providing patient care, and supporting clients in achieving their personal goals. The Behavior Technician will also ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain a safe and supportive environment for all clients. Responsibilities Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments. Utilize techniques from Applied Behavior Analysis to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors. Conduct patient assessments to monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and behavior data in accordance with organizational policies. Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Uphold confidentiality standards as outlined by HIPAA regulations. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral therapy. Experience Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism is preferred. Familiarity with behavioral health practices and medical terminology is beneficial. Experience in implementing behavioral therapy strategies is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are required.
