Job Description

role is responsible for mentoring analysts, leading process improvement initiatives, and partnering with finance and compliance offices to resolve escalated issues. The Senior Analyst plays a key role in shaping institutional policies and driving standardization of coverage analysis practices across the research enterprise.
• Provide expert-level oversight of coverage analyses:

· Lead and perform analyses for the most complex and high-risk studies. Review and validate determinations completed by junior and mid-level analysts. Ensure institutional consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the research portfolio.
• Act as subject matter expert and advisor:

· Serve as a trusted resource for investigators, leadership, compliance, and finance. Interpret complex billing regulations and advise on institutional risk mitigation. Represent the coverage analysis team in high-level discussions or escalations
• Mentor and develop staff:

· Train and coach analysts at all levels to build expertise and consistency. Provide feedback and support career growth within the coverage analysis team.
• Lead institutional process improvement:

· Partner with leadership to design, refine, and implement policies and tools. Drive initiatives that improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in billing practices. Identify systemic risks and propose enterprise-level solutions

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, business, life sciences, or related field
• Equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Master’s degree Healthcare administration, public health, business or related field - Preferred
• 5 years progressively responsible experience in clinical research, billing compliance, or healthcare operations
• 2 years progressively responsible experience in coverage analysis or equivalent role
• Prior experience leading or supervising staff, developing institutional policy, or representing coverage analysis in cross-functional leadership settings. - Preferred
• Professional certification in Clinical Research (ACRP, SOCRA, or equivalent) – Preferred
• Professional certification in healthcare compliance (CHC, RHIA) – Preferred
• Professional certification in medical billing/coding (CPC, COC) - Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, the Senior Clinical Trial Coverage Analyst provides expert-level analysis and oversight for the institution’s most complex clinical research studies
  • The Senior Analyst reviews and validates the work of junior staff, serves as a subject matter expert for investigators and leadership, and develops guidance to ensure institutional compliance with billing regulations
