Job Description

sessions per week. The Dose Session Monitor is responsible for providing continuous psychological support and safety oversight to research participants during extended dosing sessions. Key Responsibilities Participant Support Provide a calm, supportive presence throughout dosing sessions (typically 6–12+ hours) Assist participants in navigating challenging psychological experiences using non-directive support Maintain participant comfort while preserving the integrity of the study protocol Safety Monitoring Observe and document participant behavior, affect, and mental status Identify signs of distress or adverse psychological reactions Escalate concerns promptly to medical staff or investigators Protocol Adherence Follow all study-specific procedures (environmental controls, interaction limits, documentation) Maintain consistency with training in “set and setting” principles Complete required session documentation accurately and promptly Pre- and Post-Session Involvement Participate in preparation sessions to establish rapport and expectations Support post-session integration visits as assigned Training Requirements (Compensated) Completion of study protocol–specific training prior to participation in dosing sessions Completion of Dose Session Monitor (DSM) training, including psychological support principles and study procedures Training may be completed remotely All training time is compensated based on hours worked Qualifications Required Active license in a mental health field (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) Experience providing direct patient care or psychotherapy Strong interpersonal skills and emotional regulation under pressure Ability to remain present and attentive for extended periods (full-day sessions) Preferred Experience with altered states of consciousness or trauma-informed care Prior work in clinical research or familiarity with GCP principles Training or experience in psychedelic-assisted therapy (formal or informal) Schedule & Compensation Variable, based on study needs Typically 1–2 sessions per week Sessions are full-day commitments Compensation: Competitive hourly or per-session rate (commensurate with experience) Additional compensation provided for required training hours
