Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years general management experience including financial accountability, plus 4 years supervising at least 50 nonexempt and 5 exempt associates/employees, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination; OR 4 years general management experience including financial accountability with same supervisory requirements
  • Completion of all required job trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings)
  • For facilities selling firearms: successful completion of firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training
  • For facilities selling only ammunition: current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required

Responsibilities

  • The management team oversees store operations, merchandising, and employee development to ensure both financial success and positive customer experiences
  • In this role, you will drive store performance, manage teams, and ensure operational excellence
  • You will uphold company policies and lead community engagement initiatives, while maintaining high standards for customer service and store operations
  • Develop, communicate, and leverage strategic vision aligned with company, market, and local plans
  • Supervise and provide development opportunities for management and hourly associates in a high-turnover and competitive environment
  • Uphold the Open Door Policy by listening to associates, researching issues, and providing resolutions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and asset protection standards
  • Lead community outreach programs, media engagement, and sustainability initiatives
  • Drive financial performance, including achieving sales and profit goals, controlling expenses, and managing budgets
  • Model and enforce proper customer service approaches and techniques across all teams
  • Ensure effective merchandise presentation, pricing, inventory levels, and sales forecasting
  • Oversee Academy training environment and store standards to engage and develop trainees
  • Execute business plans by identifying operational needs, removing obstacles, providing resources, and measuring performance
  • Promote company mission, values, ethics, and integrity while fostering a culture of belonging and respect
