Job Description
odular systems, including facility design, and medical gas delivery systems ensuring patients receive optimal medical care while adhering to stringent regulatory standards and safety protocols. The Director will also contribute to documentation, testing, and validation processes to support compliance and operational excellence. Ability to troubleshoot either on-site or remote: medical gas systems, electrical, plumbing, low voltage, and IT issues that are installed in our units. A Military background is desirable.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in health care or related discipline.
• Proven experience in designing medical gas or oxygen delivery systems within deployable medical healthcare settings.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as NFPA 99, FGI, AFSE 6000 certification, and OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency in CAD software and ability to assist with detailed design, engineering drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of hands-on systems (oxygen, negative pressure, HVAC).
• Familiarity with healthcare facility construction and commissioning processes.
• Working knowledge of FEMA ICS, and NIMS for assisting and deploying our units.
• Read plans, drawings, and electrical diagrams.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop medical oxygen delivery systems and related infrastructure for deployable healthcare facilities.
• Perform system analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
• Broad understanding of differing requirements of our client base, including military, federal, state, local, private, and foreign clients.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and healthcare professionals to integrate FORTS shelters into new and existing medical environments.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation to support installation, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure patient and staff safety field conditions.
• Oversee FORTS Field Hospitals, set up isolation/negative pressure environments, to include management of oxygen and other support systems.
• Stay current with technological advancements and regulatory changes affecting deployable medical systems.
• Research client specific needs and source equipment, design modifications to base units.
• Ability to train and educate a diverse learner groups including physicians, nurses, maintenance personnel, and local hires.
• Ability to produce operating and maintenance manuals for our units.
