Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate Clinical Research Specialist to spearhead research initiatives and enhance patient care. In this role, you will actively identify research opportunities, secure approvals, implement studies, and ensure data integrity while working closely with our dynamic healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Network with study coordinators at major conferences to identify future research studies that will improve patient outcomes.
• Prepare and submit study proposals to hospital committees to secure necessary approvals, prioritizing patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Screen and enroll patients by evaluating eligibility criteria, consulting with physicians, and obtaining informed consent.
• Educate hospital staff and physicians on study protocols to ensure accurate execution and adherence to study requirements.
• Compile and extract patient data to maintain the integrity needed for analysis and protocol development.
• Collaborate effectively within various clinical settings to enhance integrated healthcare delivery through strong communication and teamwork.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and behaviors that cater to the unique needs of adults and geriatric patients.

Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse (RN) required; Bachelor of Science (BS) preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• Experience in a specialty area, such as cardiology or surgery, is essential.
• Proven experience in conducting research protocols.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills are highly preferred.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
