Job Description

Bright Minds is looking for RBT's to work at an in-home setting in Miami-Dade in the following area(s):
• Hialeah (Afternoons)

Using the evidence-based principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, we work directly with children and their families in the areas of language and communication (Verbal Behavior), social and independent functioning skills, and behavior reduction. We offer a personalized, flexible, and natural approach to therapy, maintain high-quality employment practices, encourage family involvement, and deliver results that we can stand behind. Services are offered in-home, school, and throughout the community.
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA. The RBT's primary responsibilities include:
• Provide intensive one-on-one therapy to children with ASD
• Implement behavior acquisition and behavior reduction plans as outlined by BIP
• Conduct stimulus preference assessments
• Collect data
• Maintain client's program book
• Develop / create teaching materials
• Provide basic care to the clients (e.g., toileting, eating)
• Discuss client's daily progress with parents / caretakers
• Work with BCBA to implement individualized goals and checklists
• Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
• Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients
• Maintain technical and professional knowledge with continuing education

Requirements:
• High school diploma. Bachelor degree preferred
• Experience with Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or Social Work preferred
• 40-hour RBT training as required by the BACB - BACB (Certificate of Completion)
• Reliable means of transportation
• Miami-Dade County School Badge
• MUST speak English
• Willing to work with children and adolescents with moderate to severe behavioral challenges
