Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform DEXA scans and full body composition studies on patients in accordance with state regulations and scope of the Florida BXMO/x-ray license.
• Schedule and track DEXA scans, lab tests, and follow-up appointments as directed by the provider.
• Retrieve laboratory results and prepare documentation for provider review.
• Triage patients by obtaining vitals, reviewing medical history and allergies, and documenting accurately in the EMR.
• Assist with patient communication, including appointment reminders, lab reviews, and follow-ups.
• Process medication refill requests according to clinic policy.
• Educate patients and family members regarding procedures and protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain active Florida BXMO license.
• Perform additional administrative and clinical support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Active Florida BXMO or X-Ray License.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical or clinical setting preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent education.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a professional manner.
• Strong computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Professional appearance and demeanor; ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Must successfully complete background check (criminal, employment, and reference).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • This position requires an energetic, detail-oriented professional who provides excellent patient care and supports clinical operations
  • The Limited License / X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing DEXA (bone density and body composition) scans under a valid Florida BXMO license, assisting with patient coordination, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR
