Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support to students with special needs, primarily those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), within a self-contained classroom setting.
• Assist in the implementation of student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Support students with behavior management strategies and techniques, promoting positive social interactions and adaptive behaviors.
• Assist students with daily living skills, including toileting, feeding, and other self-care tasks as needed.
• Facilitate student engagement in academic and functional activities, supporting the Special Education Teacher in lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Support students with transitions between activities and environments.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
• Collect data on student progress and behavior as directed by the Special Education Teacher and BCBA.
• Collaborate effectively with the Special Education Teacher, BCBA, and other related service providers (OT, SLP).

Schedule:
• Workday: 7.5 hours/day
• Hours: Monday - Friday 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM
• Start Date: First day of school (anticipated August 26 or August 27, 2025).

Training Requirements:
• Physical Management Training (PMT): Required training will be provided.

Qualifications: Candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Successfully passed the ParaPro Assessment, OR
• Hold an Associate’s Degree from an approved college, OR
• Have completed at least 60 credits at an approved college.
• Previous experience working with children with special needs is highly preferred.
• Willingness to acquire and apply new skills related to special education and behavior support.
