Responsibilities

• •Provide care to patients in a manner that promotes safety and comfort within the clinical research environment
• •Assist patients with activities of daily living; attend to patient behavioral problems and aid in crisis intervention, as needed
• •Chart patient observations, following protocols and standard operating procedures
• •Apply compassion to always preserve and safeguard the dignity of patients
• •Conducts minimal non-protocol specific medical assessments, i.e. automatic blood pressure measurements, temperature monitoring, etc
• •Works with Unit Clinician to facilitate/oversee patient check-in/check-outs
• •Promotes a physically and emotionally safe environment, including conducting regular checks on subjects, subject rooms, subject inventory, and facility property
• •Utilizes de-escalation techniques to mitigate any potential patient crises
• •Collaborates with Principal Investigator, Clinical Raters, and Clinical Research Coordinators to oversee patient experience
• •Monitor the physical status of patients and performs tasks that ensure physical well-being
