What You’ll Do:
• Design and deliver individualized, engaging IEP-driven instruction that supports each student’s learning goals and is tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Develop and implement lesson plans in alignment with IEPs and curriculum standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet academic, social, and behavioral needs
• Foster a safe, structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports academic and social-emotional growth
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to create a unified support system for each student
• Use evidence-based strategies to promote learning and skill development
• Track and share meaningful progress updates with families and school teams
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school events
• Support students during transitions, extracurricular activities, and when behavioral interventions are needed
What You Bring:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (required)
• Certification: Valid state Special Education certification (required)
• Experience: At least 2 years of classroom teaching preferred, especially with ASD/IDD
• Skills: Strong classroom management, adaptability, collaboration, and clear communication
• Mindset: Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the belief that all students can succeed
• Training: PMT, CPR, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain after hire)
