Job Description

ABA Instructors work closely with a BCBA-level supervisor to support skill acquisition, increase independence, and promote meaningful progress toward individualized treatment goals. This position is ideal for individuals interested in early intervention and working within a collaborative clinical team. Comprehensive ongoing training is provided, including support in obtaining the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.

Job Brief
Data Collection and Insurance Documentation
• Collects accurate, real-time data throughout therapy sessions
• Documents session notes and client progress in accordance with insurance requirements
• Reviews data regularly and communicates relevant clinical information to supervisor(s)
• Meets routinely with the BCBA to review client progress and treatment goals
• Enters and maintains data in electronic systems; experience with the CentralReach platform is a plus
General Responsibilities
• Provides 1:1 ABA services to preschool-aged children in a clinic-based setting
• Interacts in a positive, professional, and supportive manner with clients and team members
• Maintains HIPAA compliance at all times
• Maintains organized, timely, and detailed session documentation
• Performs all other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor
Communication
• Completes all required documentation, forms, and reports accurately and on time
• Communicates effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members
• Participates in team meetings, trainings, and clinical supervision
Instruction
• Supports early learning, independence, and functional skill development
• Implements individualized ABA instructional programs as written by the BCBA
• Implements behavior intervention plans to reduce maladaptive behaviors and increase appropriate replacement behaviors
• Supports skill generalization within the clinic environment
Knowledge and Compliance
• Complies with ACES and Clinical Services policies and procedures
• Complies with required physical management and safety training
• Complies with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
• When applicable, complies with BACB guidelines and ethical standards
Schedule and Position Details
• Part-time position
• Flexible scheduling options, including:
• 4-hour morning sessions
• 4-hour afternoon sessions
• A combination of morning and afternoon sessions
• All hours fall between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM
• No evenings, weekends, or in-home services required
• Applicants will be required to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. If hired, ACES will fully support the candidate through the certification process. ACES also offers supervision hours for staff working toward BCBA certification.
