Qualifications

  • Active Florida APRN license with psychiatric specialization
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PMHNP
  • Experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings
  • Ability to independently administer psychiatric rating scales (training provided if needed)
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Availability for per diem work with flexibility to work onsite during business hours (9:00 am – 5:00 pm)

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Research Center of Florida is seeking an experienced Per Diem Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to support our psychiatric and multi-specialty clinical research studies
  • This role is ideal for a PMHNP interested in participating in clinical research while maintaining a flexible, per diem schedule
  • The PMHNP will conduct psychiatric assessments and administer standardized psychiatric rating scales, similar to the responsibilities of a psychiatrist within the research setting
  • Some onsite presence is required during standard business hours (9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and clinical assessments for research participants
  • Recruit, screen, and complete intake assessments of potential study participants
  • Administer and score standardized psychiatric rating scales (e.g., MADRS, HAM-D, YMRS, CGI)
  • Review medical and psychiatric histories in accordance with study protocols
  • Collaborate with investigators, physicians, and research staff
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Provide education and support to participants and their families
  • Demonstrate professionalism, strong patient engagement, and excellent communication
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary research team
  • Maintain current licensure and certifications as required by the State of Florida
