Practice Info
• Support of the Primary Care Services in the Central Arkansas Veterans Health System (CAVHS)
• Community Based Outpatient Clinic located in Conway Arkansas
• Uses a team-based approach to Veteran Centric Primary Care

Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage common and complex diseases and functional disorders across various body systems, including acute and chronic pain, and medical conditions involving allergy, immunology, cardiology, oncology, infectious diseases, nephrology, and rheumatology
• Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions in ambulatory care settings
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, including laboratory studies, electrocardiograms, radiographic procedures, KOH preps, Home Glucose Monitoring, and Gram Stains
• Perform general medical history and physical examinations, and provide care involving observation, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients
• Provide consultation or referral to appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated
• Diagnose and manage chronic or long-term illnesses and injuries in adults
• Perform preventative health care counseling and instruct patients and/or families on treatment plans
• Oversee health supervision visits with appropriate anticipatory and preventive guidance and screening measures

Compensation
• Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) - a student loan payment reimbursement program (up to $200,000)
• Recruitment/Relocation Incentive (Sign-on Bonus) for highly qualified applicants

• Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement for CME (must be full-time with board certification)

Requirements
• United States Citizenship
• Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree from a VA-approved school
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia
• Completion of residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Board certification in either American Board of Family Physicians (ABFP) or American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
