Practice Info
• Work Environment: Clinic/Private Practice Outpatient
• Assigned duty station will be one of the sites of care within VA Palo Alto Health Care System
• Telehealth and/or video visits may only be conducted from sites of care within the VA Palo Alto Health Care System or VA approved alternate work sites
• May support the Call Center

Responsibilities
• Assess and care for new and returning patients with various medical problems (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, ischemic heart disease, COPD, depression, chronic pain)
• Deliver care via face-to-face, telehealth, or video visits, with occasional travel to VISN medical centers or Community Based Outreach Clinics (CBOC)
• Order diagnostics, consultations, medications, and other therapies as medically indicated
• Meet preventative health maintenance needs and complete all required VA computer documentation, including clinical reminders and screenings, in a timely manner
• Perform evaluation, including H&P; diagnosis; consultation; and treatment of adult patients with medical illnesses in the clinic environment, via telehealth or via VA approved video modalities
• Perform diagnostic or therapeutic joint aspiration/injection, soft tissue injection, routine women's health (pelvic exam, breast exam, cytologic pap smear testing, cervical HPV testing), laceration repair, foreign body removal, abscess incision and drainage, diagnostic paracentesis, and wound debridement
• Perform preliminary interpretation of ECG and radiographic studies
• Supervise residents, fellows, and others in training

Compensation
• Expected Salary range from $293,077 to $315,000 (negotiable based on candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience)
• Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

• 50-55 days of paid time-off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
• Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
