Job Description

School-based Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) play a vital role in fostering a positive, structured environment for students who need specialized behavioral support. If youre passionate about working one-on-one and making a significant difference, consider this per diem, as-needed opportunity with flexible scheduling and meaningful impact.

Youll provide direct 1:1 support to students, working closely with teachers and school staff to ensure every learners experience is educational, safe, and supportive. As an RBT sub in schools, youll have the opportunity to accept assignments that fit your availability, making it ideal for those seeking flexibility or supplemental work.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Implement individualized behavior plans and document progress
• Offer 1:1 or small-group assistance, following teacher or staff direction
• Assist students with daily routines, mobility, transitions, and classroom participation
• Support students personal care needs as required
• Foster a respectful, inclusive environment conducive to learning
• Collaborate with both school staff and clinical supervisors to report on student behaviors and needs

Role Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to support physical needs and assist with lifting
• Up-to-date school clearances or willingness to complete them

Preferred Experience & Qualities:
• Previous experience in school, childcare, special education, or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with autism, behavioral challenges, or special needs
• CPI, PMT, or extensive RBT background a plus
• Team-oriented, patient, and reliable
